Frequently asked questions

How do you take the wrinkles out of the game boards?

To get wrinkles out of a vinyl banner, use gentle heat from the sun or a hairdryer, steam it, or hang it with weights to let gravity work, always applying heat to the non-printed side and keeping it moving to avoid damage; for quick fixes, a hairdryer on low or a handheld steamer works, while sun and time are great for a slow, safe relax.

Gentle Heat Methods (Best for Quick Results)

  • Hair Dryer - Set to low/medium heat, hold 8-12 inches away, move in circles over the back (non-printed side) while smoothing with your other hand.
  • Steamer - Use a handheld steamer on the back of the banner, keeping it moving and at a safe distance to soften creases.
  • Iron (Use with Caution) - Place a damp cloth over the banner and use a low-heat steam iron, pressing gently over the cloth without direct contact with the vinyl.

Natural & Gravity Methods

  • Sunlight - Lay the banner flat in direct sunlight (printed side up) for 30-60 mins or longer on warm days to let the heat relax the vinyl.
  • Hang with Weights - Hang the banner and attach weights (like water bottles or sandbags) to the grommets to create tension and stretch out wrinkles.

I'm having issues repacking the game into the bag.
  • Rolling - Roll the game up as you would a map or chart.
  • Folding - Fold in squares, to help eliminate wrinkles for future use.
I'm having trouble getting the weights into the side pockets of Skatta Bag.

The recommended method is to hold the mat length wise off the ground, slide the weights from top to bottom allowing gravity to help lower into place.

*Note - The mats can be stores with the weights kept inside the pockets.
